I would think that in the course of a Jedi's training the Art of War is fully addressed. Of course all instruction is balanced; as it should be for Jedi training.

if you are trying to be a jedi from the position of "I am a fighter" you are really missing something

jedi's first align themselves with the force, the energy of the universe, through practices like meditation

what is the force? what holds the universe together? what is one of the most mysterious forces of the universe?

gravity (see - An Elegant Universe by Brian Greene).

Physicists can prove and measure that gravity exists, but they do not know exactly how it works, since everything is almost empty space.

What is gravity? The attraction between ANY two "objects"

What is love? The attraction between ANY two "objects"

Put that in your lightsaber and meditate on it.

The available evidence is that the usage of a lightsabre is inherint in the true learning of the ways of the force. Obi-Wan used lightsabre training as one of the very first aspects of realizing the existence of the force, and that it could be utilized. It wasn't until much later that Luke began to be able to manipulate the more subtle aspects of the force though meditation. To be truly balanced in the ways of the Force, one must train in all aspects of life.
Why do you think it's called Force?
